Weekly Menu for Monday, March 11, 2013

I started menu planning several years when I was working.  At that time, I would plan meals ahead and actually do the prep ahead of time as well so that dinner could be on the table soon after I got home.  Since that time, I have used a few different sources to record my menus-- some were just small sheets with the week printed on them, some were just stuck in a notepad that I used for writing grocery lists.  For the past two years, I have had one school notebook of paper that has held all of my weekly menus.  This week's menu uses the last sheet of paper in this notebook!  It has been so nice being able to look back at past weeks or even what we were eating last year at a certain time for menu ideas.  I am sure this notebook won't go too far- at least for awhile.   But I am looking forward to starting a new notebook....with maybe some new ideas!

This week's menu definitely isn't as varied and exciting as last week.  I used up all my new ideas and purchases from the grocery store last week.  This week we are stuck with what we have in the freezers (which isn't much since our big freezer died on us so I have had to watch what I buy the past couple of weeks as we have limited freezer space!)

Weekly Menu for Monday, March 11, 2013

Monday: Impossible Cheeseburger Pie and green beans

Tuesday: Ham and cheese loaf and ???

Wednesday: Goulash

Thursday: Burgers and dad's homemade mac and cheese

Friday: Steak and tateres

Saturday: Tuna noodle pasta salad and homemade cornbread

Come back on Wednesday for another slow cooker recipe-- Cabbage and Sausage Supper.  Next week I will share the super yummy beef and broccoli in the slow cooker recipe.  My boys absolutely loved it and requested that I made it again soon - and often!  Of course Miss BB refused to even try it....sigh...

Linking up with MPM and Healthy Branscoms.  Have a great week everyone!
