I love participating in 5 Question Friday because the questions are always so different however when 5 Question Friday doesn't happen then I am left in quite the lurch! I just never know what to write.....I was all ready to answer some questions. Oh well, I guess today we shall do 5 facts about me and Country Living On A Hill......
1. I have a bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations. My biggest regret is not working in an agency (just so I would have that experience). Instead I have worked for a couple of small not for profits were I handled the advertising, public relations and marketing which I so loved. I have also helped a couple of small businesses with the same. I would absolutely love to get back into this work. Anyone have any openings?
2. I started Country Living On A Hill on February 17, 2011 which means on Sunday it will be Country Living On A Hill's second anniversary. So in honor of two years of blogging, I will be doing a giveaway starting on Monday. Come back on Monday to find out what I will be giving away! I am excited about the opportunity to have another giveaway.
3. We moved into our house On A Hill in June, 2006. We started a garden the spring of 2007 and have been adding to the garden each and every summer. Hubby plans on planting some hops this spring and we would like to add some fruit trees to our front yard. In 2008 I started canning and feel in love with all the goodies that we were able to create. I now look forward to putting around in the kitchen and canning all our yummy produce.
4. My fibro symptoms started in the fall of 2008. I was diagnosed in 2010 and tried taking medication for almost a year. In February 2011, I decided to make major changes in my diet. Since making those changes in 2011, I have only had a handful of flares. I have learned to listen to my body and make adjustments when possible. I encourage everyone to really focus on what you are putting into your body food wise. I never thought it could make such a huge difference but I am living proof that diet does affect your entire body and life.
5. I am a history fanatic and absolutely love visiting any historic site. Last year for my 40th birthday, Hubby took me to Springfield, IL so we could visit all the Lincoln sites. It was amazing! Last summer we spent a week in Mackinaw, MI and visited 2 forts, the lighthouse and Mill Creek Sawmill. Thankfully the kids enjoy these types of vacations too.
There you have it-- 5 facts about Country Living On A Hill and me. It only took me about 45 minutes to write. Phew it can be hard to switch gears so early in the morning. I hope everyone has a great weekend and make sure you stop back on Monday for my giveaway.

i agree with your #4.... I suffer from a few problems, and a good diet and listening to your body are essential
ReplyDeleteI was the type of person who never believed that food could hurt you. I always thought that whatever was sold was safe. I sure have had my eyes opened the past couple of years and now know differently!
