I had another week pretty much stuck at home--- which really does make it difficult to be naughty but I seem to always find a way! I really had thought with Christmas getting close that I would be tempted with all kinds of other temptations but so far, nothing too terrible has come up. Of course next week is hubby's office party and our christmas with my mom. I am sure I will find some ways to over enjoy both those situations!
1. Soda: This really has been a huge issue this past week. Hubby is so wonderful and bought me some when I was sick. It was a great treat after drinking gallons upon gallons of water and ice tea. I know that it isn't good for me but it sure does "hit the spot"! Then hubby and I went out to dinner with some friends and I indulged in some more soda. YUM! I guess after having to dramatically increase your fluid intake in an effort to get better, it is nice to have choices in what type of fluid you indulge in. Plus after drinking all that fluid, I was eating far less- no room in my stomach!
2. Sneaking into the chocolate truffles: I bought some goodies for our christmas and holiday movie viewing party a couple of weeks ago when we made a run to Trader Joe's and the outlet mall. I have been good and left them alone.....until this week. I was so craving something sweet and chocolate but didn't have the energy to actually bake anything. So I snuck into the chocolate truffles. I bought a big tub so a few won't be missed (I hope), I just need to keep my cravings under control so I don't suck down more than I should!
3. Over doing when I shouldn't: The first day that I really started feeling better I decided to get as much done around the house as I could. By about 4 pm that afternoon, I was completely wiped out! I felt like there was just so much that I needed to get done. I felt bad that I had been sick for so long- have you ever done that? Thankfully I was able to crash into bed after dinner and rest up again. Finally on Thursday I was able to get some more of the cleaning done and I feel like I am starting to make headway instead of being way behind!
What are your confessions for the past week? Have you struggled to stay on track? I would love to hear from you. I hope everyone had a great weekend and here is to a great week ahead!
