What a crazy, hectic busy week. I knew it would be. I also knew that I would struggle this week behaving myself. I think having cheat weeks or free weeks can be a good thing. First, it will show you how your body reacts to overdoing things and two it will help you keep on course-- because you will remember what happened! Plus sometimes it is just too difficult to avoid everything. Allowing yourself the occasional treat is a good thing. Just don't go overboard.....like I did this week with my first confession:
1. Soda: Yes this is a terrible vice for me. An addiction. A true love. Something that is very difficult to walk away from. I admit it, I know I have a problem but sometimes you just gotta enjoy! Last weekend was terrible-- I had several sodas. I honestly lost count. Then we had left overs in the house....which I enjoyed for lunch many days. Then I had some girlfriends over on Friday night-- out came more soda (as I don't care for alcohol beverages - they all taste like rubbing alcohol- eww!) I have to be honest and say that I didn't suffer any setbacks because of it though. Just lots and lots of added calories that I really didn't need!
2. Procrastination: I should have planned things out better. Made a list. Crossed things off. But instead I flew by the seat of my pants for most of the week. Hoping I had what I needed to make dinners and birthday desserts. I pushed off cleaning things until they absolutely had to be done. I sat on Pinterest far longer than I should have. I got lost in some books when I should have been cleaning. I wandered outside finding pinecones instead of moving plants. Okay- I enjoyed some of the smaller things in life this week. And that is what makes it all okay!
3. Candy: So SJ took bags of candy to school to share for his birthday. Miss BB's cheesecake contained candy. So I indulged. Chocolate candy bars, sour gum, chewy candy. All of it. Now if I can just avoid buying any more Halloween candy I might be safe!
4. Injuries: Last weekend we took the youngest two to an indoor waterpark as part of their birthday present. They had a blast, loved every single minute of it and definitely want to go back. I have to admit, I enjoyed going on a few of the rides, watching the kids have fun and mostly watching all the other people. Ha was that interesting! Anyway-- with all that fun came some naughty behavior on my part. Mostly-- I jumped a couple of times (I know what you are thinking but I have been told not to jump yet-- my heel is still healing) and one time I just about screamed in pain. It was very, very bad. I have to admit that I didn't even realize what I was doing-- heck I was half in the water....aren't you suppose to be lighter in the water?? Anyway...I jumped into an inner tube to enjoy the lazy river and ended up sobbing down half of the thing. I ended up hobbling the rest of the weekend. Then Sunday morning I went with hubby down one of the larger slides. It was so much fun....until the end. I had to fall off the raft we were riding on and I sunk (again-- geesh, I sank like a ton of bricks...I thought I was suppose to float in water) and hit my knee really really hard on the rough bottom of the pool. Blood was dripping down my leg and now I had two bad hobbly legs! So all week....I have been hobbling. My heel has started to feel better but geesh, I cannot get my knee to scab up.
5. I almost forgot to write my craves and confessions posts this week: Okay-- so I did end up remembering. But I usually write these posts on Friday and schedule them to run over the weekend. That way if things get hectic (and you know that they do), I have one less thing to worry about. Except this week I was so focused on getting the house cleaned for my friends on Friday that I completely forgot to write the posts! Thankfully I sat down to rest for a few minutes and started surfing the internet. I went to check on how my blog was doing and low and behold-- no posts were ready and waiting for the weekend! Apparently the blog fairy forgot to help me out :-).
So-- what are your confessions? Are you finding it hard to stay out of the Halloween candy? Did you forget to complete a task? Let me know what your confessions are for the week-- I really would love to hear them.
