I have been sitting in front of my computer all Monday morning long....working on reading other blogs, catching up with my e-mail, and paying no attention to my blogging goals list for the week. In the back of my mind, I keep thinking to myself-- You really need to think about post topics for the week.
Hmmm. Well I agree with my subconscious or with my brain that is telling me to focus on work. I do need to get focused and get some work done. However, for some reason, my brain does not want to cooperate! Instead I keep looking at my schedule. A baseball game tonight (Monday), baseball banquet Tuesday night (which means I need to bake something for the banquet), baseball game Wednesday night. Tuesday also means swimming party for SJ, with a class picnic to follow. Wednesday is a half day and the last day of school, which means the kids will want to go out to lunch.
Then it goes to my other to do list-- I need to get Mr. H onto our auto insurance, I am waiting for a call back from the doctor's office, I need envelopes (which would help in getting several things off my desk), there is that electric bill that needs to be paid, oopps here is our new auto insurance certificates that need to go into our vehicles, the pug needs to go to the vet....and on and on and on.
Do you ever have days like this? My brain cannot focus on one thing at a time. Instead it is flying off in 20 different directions, not accomplishing anything! Forget about trying to think of blogging post topics or working on my goals. I don't think I could keep my thought process in a single line today.
So maybe-- it is time for me to get up, walk away from the schedule staring me in the face and work on getting some of my other obligations done. Anyone have a cure for a busy mind?
I linked up with Amy for her link up -- anti-procrastination day. Go and check out some of the awesome ideas submitted.
