Weekly Menu Planning for May 14, 2012

It's Monday again!  I hope all the mom's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day.  We celebrated Mr. H's 16th birthday so Mother's Day for me kind of went on the back burner.  I did however get just a wonderful present- a new garbage disposal and 20 bags of manure!  Okay, definitely not what I would have asked for but what are you going to do?  Our garbage disposal was leaking water all over under the sink and refused to work so a new one was definitely in order.  On the plus side, hubby moved it to the correct side of the sink (we were backwards for several years) so I am not complaining.  The manure means our garden is ready to start planting and I am sure our tomato plants will be far happier in the ground (as long as we protect them from any frost).

I get to take Mr. H to get his driver's license today.  It will sure be nice to have someone else who can run errands and kids.  I just need to get into gear though and get my van listed for sale.  We are going to some vehicle switching and get a car for him as well.  That will definitely be nice next fall - he can drive everyone to and from school.  :-D

We have a crazy week ahead of us once again.  2 baseball games on Monday, one possibly on Tuesday, one of Friday and possibly one on Saturday.  One more week following this one for High School baseball, then it will be just the youth league games.  Maybe it will get a bit easier to plan meals.

Monday: Meatloaf and taters- I figure that those of us who are home early can eat early and the rest can warm up meatloaf later.  Or have meatloaf sandwiches.

Tuesday: Bourbon Chicken over rice

Wednesday: Brats on the grill and fries

Thursday: Chicken Chop Suey in the crockpot

Friday: Homemade pizza

Saturday: On Your Own- not sure if we will have a game or not.  If we do, it will mean a fairly good drive so we might be eating out.

Sunday: Chicken wings and ???  Not sure what to make with them.  I bought chicken wings a couple of weeks ago but have never made them.  H used to love the chicken wings we would get at the chinese restaurant.  Anyone have any good recipes?

Linking up with MPM.

There you have it, our week.  What are your plans for the week?  Thanks for stopping by and visiting me here on the hill.
