Wait! It's April 29th already? Where did April go? I'll take May if we get some warmer weather. April was actually colder here in Michigan than March was. Seriously. It's time for some warm weather again, please.
This past week was a fairly wild and crazy one for me. After not subbing in many, many moons I actually subbed two mornings this past week. A little bit of extra pocket money will be nice. I might even slide some aside for another give away- whoo hoo.
Looking back I was fairly good this week. I know the summer months are usually easier. Unless we are camping. Then I seem to think that I can binge a bit on sweets and salty snacks. But I guess sometimes you just have to enjoy yourself when you are on vacation, right?
So here are my confessions for the week:
Soda: I had two this week. Not too bad considering that I often thought about it. I could have used the caffeine boost several days. Friday I just had to get something. Driving home from the field trip in a hot van was just not working out very well. The sugar and caffeine got my blood pumping!
Chewy Sweet tarts and sour gummy kids: The sour gummy kids I bought at Aldi's last week and hid in my desk. I forgot about them until mid week. I know, how in the world did I do that? Never fear, they were quickly eaten once I remembered that they were there. The chewy sweet tarts were my treat on the way home Friday afternoon with my soda.
Potato Chips: I rarely eat potato chips- even when I wasn't watching my processed food intake I rarely ate them. They just aren't something I am really crazy about. But since we had to take a sack lunch for our field trip on Friday and I really wasn't sure what else to take. I had a sandwich and some chocolate molasses cake but knew I would like something salty too. So I had a small bag- I made sure I didn't fill it even half way. They were okay but not something I really crave much.
Cleaning and laundry: Since I haven't been home much these things are suffering! The dog hair is trying to take over and create another dog. The laundry is overflowing in our bathroom. SJ's room and closet need a shovel taken to them (I am some what scared to though, I have no idea what might be hidden in there!). Ahhh, there is always next week! :-D
That's it! Even though I was busy all week I did end up making dinner every night except Friday. Friday my heel gave out and I just gave up. Somedays you just need a break, you know?
So what are your confessions for the week?
Thanks for stopping by on the hill, please come and visit again soon!
