Happy Earth Day! I think we will celebrate Earth Day by working out in the garden getting it ready for planting (which we cannot do until the end of May). How will you be spending your Earth Day?
It is that time again to purge myself of all the bad things I did this past week, wipe my slate clean and get ready for a brand new week. Want to join along?? Leave me a comment on what your confessions are so your slate can be wiped clean too. I am wondering, would anyone be interested in a confessions linky party? I am not sure how to do that but it might be fun to have something like that. Let me know and I will look into it if there is interest!
1. Sour Gummy Candies and Red Fish: How can you argue with sour gummy candy? It is sour, it is sweet, it is chewy. Plus I love the red fish cherry flavor. On a good note, I only had a box of red fish this week. We won't discuss the sour gummies.
2. No soda this week: Whoo Hoo! I have beaten off those cravings all week long. Last weekend I indulged in soda several times on Friday and once on Saturday. It left me feeling dehydrated and with nasty mouth (I won't go any further than that). So the cravings weren't that severe. I have been craving ice tea though. I will take that over soda any day.
3. Frozen Egg Rolls: I know, definitely naughty and not good for me. But I was so hungry for egg rolls (I really need to attempt making them at home- anyone have a good recipe?) so I bought a box at Aldi's. They were very, very good.
4. Subway: Okay technically all I had was a 1/4 of a 6 inch sub. It was about 3 bites total. So not really all that bad. The bad things was it was my hubby's. I decided that he wouldn't miss it and honestly he wouldn't. However he did get me for eating it. I thought I was picking out a pickle to eat and instead of sour, I got super hot! Yep it was a jalapeno. OUCH! I paid for that little bit of enjoyment.
5. Slacking on my Baking, bought the kids Little Debbies: There is nothing wrong with Little Debbies (especially Swiss Cake Rolls, my favorite) but I try to stay away from them now. I do occasionally get them for the kids. But lately I have been so good about baking that I haven't had to buy the kids treats like that. This week, I did no baking what so ever. So I bought them some Little Debbie treats. Thankfully I bought the cosmic brownies (their favorites but I hate them) so I won't be tempted what so ever to have one!
Phew thankfully it wasn't a horrible week but I still have some room for improvement. Those gummy candies just are my downfall anymore. I cannot find anything that even comes close to switch with them. Oh well. I guess we must all have some vices.
