I had planned to spend most of Monday researching some new topics for my Dealing with Fibro Tuesdays. I received a great e-mail about some new articles on various processed ingredients and their affects on our bodies. What a great topic, I thought.
The internet however has had different plans for me. Our new internet was working very well all weekend long. Then my hubby got up early this morning (as in 4 am early) and kept coming into our bedroom to monkey with the router. He could not get the internet to work. He gave up and went to work and left me with attempting to get it working again.
Imagine someone who has very little technical experience floundering around trying to even figure out what the tech is saying to me. Now you have a great visual of me! We even attempted to connect both my mac and my hubby's pc directly to the ethernet cable. Nothing. They could see we were connected but our computers said we were not connected. I tried 3 different browsers with the same results.
You cannot imagine how stress out this made me. I have been back and forth trying several different things trying to get it to work- so that I could work! Finally I had to get out of the house for awhile because all I wanted to do was cry. Agh.
I am so dreading tomorrow. Usually when I stress this much I am pretty much guaranteed a good flare up. I did not scheduled a flare in this week :-D. But who can determine the amount of stress they are going to be under? I know you can't but it does seem that there could be an easier way to resolve this issue than banging my head against the wall.
There is....I have a call in to the tech to send out someone. The downside: it is going to cost $65 per half hour. The upside: if it is their wires, then hopefully they can fix it right then and not charge us!
So how am I writing this?? Well I haven't called to cancel our old internet. Genius? No. It took me 5 minutes to get my computer to connect the first time. It has disconnected 5 times since I started this post and constantly tells me I have unplugged the internet device. Nope-- haven't moved it, touched it or even looked at it. This is only one reason we decided we desperately needed something new. To lower my stress level. Ha!
Wish me luck- and I hope that I will be able to get some posts done in advance. You might find me tomorrow or Wednesday hanging out in my local McDonald's getting my blog on! Just keep your fingers crossed that the flare decides to by pass me.
Thanks for visiting me here on the hill. Don't forget about my new giveaway with Creating Family Connections. I hope you stop by and visit again soon!
