Addictive Internet - Thoughtful Thursdays

Welcome back to Thoughtful Thursdays.  This week I am thinking again!  I had such a wonderful time last week celebrating my birthday and just having fun.  It was a great time for a No Thought Thursday.  I think we need those type of days sometimes, where you just don't have to think about anything and just focus on something fun.

On this Thoughtful Thursday I thought I would write about how addictive some internet sites can be.

I have had a facebook account for several years now.  It is fun being able to reconnect with friends from high school and to stay connected to friends that I have met at various jobs.  Yes, it can get frustrating when some vaguebook (you know, make vague comments on things but refuse to give you the whole story) or when someone posts constantly on things you have no interest in, filling your page with worthless info.  But you have to agree with me that it can be fun spying on friends through facebook.  You know you do it, watch all the posts and comments people make.

Then came along Pinterest.  For me this is terribly addictive.  I have two huge file folders full of future ideas from crafts to home plans I like.  Therefore Pinterest is right up my alley.  I cannot tell you how many hours I have lost to this website wandering around being captivated by all these things I will probably never end up actually doing but loving them none the less.  I am sure I have ignored my kids on occasion while I went on a virtual vacation.  This site indulges my someday wishes.

A (new to me) site is Stumbled Upon.  While researching sites to promote and advertise my blog I "stumbled" (hahaha) on this site (actually it was on my list of sites to check out).  I am pretty sure that I lost a good hour researching this site.  I have tried to limit my visit to this site at the moment since I have limited time on the internet to get everything done.  But it is on my list for the future when I have more time to waste  enjoy.

Now it's your turn.  What sites are you addicted to?  What sites should we all go out and check out for our future cravings?

Thanks for visiting me here on the hill.  Make sure to stop at my birthday giveaway and enter to win two gift cards.  I hope you'll come back and visit again soon.
