Weekly Menu for the week of 3/25/12

Wait a minute- where did March go?!  I cannot believe that we are already hitting the last week of March. The weeks and months seem to go by faster and faster each year.  Where does the time go?

As if  our schedule wasn't busy enough, my husband received a phone call last week asking if he would coach a little league team for our youngest son.  He went last night for the "draft" and is now trying to schedule practices.  So starting in April it looks like we are going to have a full schedule with something going on every single evening.  Dinners are going to be interesting then!  Forget about grilling and large dinners, I will have to focus on things that can be grabbed quickly or those that warm up well.  Oh well, I like being involved in the things our kids are, no matter what.

So onward to this week's menu.  Honestly I feel as though it is pretty bland.  I really need to find some new ideas or drag through my old menus and find some different things to make.  Do you ever feel like you are in a menu rut?  How do you get out of it?

Weekly Menu:

Monday: Impossible Cheeseburger Pie (one of my daughter's absolute favorite meals)

Tuesday: BBQ Meatballs and Oven Fries, Green Beans

Wednesday: Roasted Chicken, Sweet potatoes, peas

Thursday: Steak, Baked Potatoes, Corn

Friday: Sloppy Joes, roasted potatoes

Saturday: On Your Own

Sunday: Hamburgers, beans

What are your menu plans for the week?  Linked up to MPM.

Thanks for visiting me here on the hill.  Come back and visit again soon.

  1. I really need to get better about meal planning...we end up eating far too much take out.

  2. I have been doing this for about 2 years now. It makes such a world of difference. If I don't plan- then I never know what to make for dinner and rely on quick, not terribly healthy things. This also helps use up things in the pantry or refrigerator that need to be used.

  3. I don't think your meal plan looks bland. I got hungry just looking at it. ;) My sister does the meal plan thing; I think it's a good idea!

  5. Thanks for the votes of confidence! Really the menu features meals that all my kids will eat. I get tired of focusing our meals on what my youngest two will eat. But if I don't then I have issues :-D.

As for the on your own- yep they will all complain but usually we have some left overs or there are things in the freezer that they can eat. Sometimes I make things that my hubby and I like (and our oldest son) but the others won't touch.
