It's time for Sunday Confessions again. I have found that it helps me stay a little bit more in line during the week (especially food wise) when I know that I have to confess to everything naughty on Sunday! It makes me take a second or third thought about whether I really want to eat it or not. Therefore I am finding that I am doing better in terms of staying away from processed food. I am not completely free of it though so on to my confessions!
1. I only had 1 soda this week-- whoo hoo!! I am so happy for me. The longer I can go without it, the longer I know I can stay way from it. Fingers crossed that I can stay out of the store and away from it for a few more days. I also am looking into buying some water kefir grains to make my own water kefir. It is advertised as a great alternative to soda. Has anyone tried it? I would love to hear what others think of it!
2. I ate some Doritos and Cheetos. My kids opened a new bag and I had a small bowl full. I absolutely love Doritos and I haven't had any in several months. Oh yum were they good! Thankfully snacks like that don't last long in our house and they are all gone. Can't cheat again for awhile!
3. I laughed at my daughter. She was having an anxiety attack (she has dealt with these for years and we have been able to teach her ways to deal with them.....she has been very successful but occasionally she has an episode). I don't believe her anxiety attack was a laughing matter and I was trying to help her with her problem which would have resolved her anxiety but it wasn't helping. She was going on and on about her issue and honestly it became silly. She knew what she had said was silly and started to smirk trying not to laugh out loud. After hearing what she said and seeing the smirk I couldn't help it. I laughed. And I laughed and I laughed. It was a huge belly laugh that got her going and her dad going. She got a little upset when I couldn't stop and had tears running down my cheeks. But she survived, we did come up with some solutions and she survived and worked through the attack. Everything turned out fine (what she was stressing about) and she isn't too scarred from the incident, I promise!
4. I only did one random act of kindness this week. I really did want to do more but I didn't realize it was Random Kindness Week until Wednesday, that is when I found my sticky note! Due to sick kids and sick me, I pretty much stayed home as much as possible. So hey maybe that can be my random act of kindness for the week-- I kept my germs at home! Not really what I had planned but I guess it is a nice thing to do too!
Thanks for visiting me here on my hill. Leave me a comment and let me know what your confessions for the week are or just let me know you stopped by. Better yet, join me here on the hill! Have a great week!
