Thoughtful Thursdays

During my quest to reach all my blogging goals this week, I searched out other blogs to link on some of the days of the week.  One that I came across and found very interesting was Thoughtful Thursdays on the blog Found the Marbles.   Jessica posted a Thoughtful Thursday post that I really enjoyed about Paula Deen and her announcement that she has diabetes.  So I thought, I want to try to do these Thoughtful Thursday posts.  So here goes my first Thoughtful (maybe) post:

After I found this post a number of ideas ran through my head on possible topics.  I should have written them down!  So my thoughtful post this week features that age old question- Why is it that the best ideas come to you when you are least prepared to remember them or write them down and when you are prepared to think your mind goes completely blank?

Yes I will admit, I am sitting here at my computer and my mind is pretty much a black void.  Even gazing out the window produces only a hazy gray sky that doesn't seem to spark any ideas what so ever.

I have always found that my very best ideas come to me when I am in bed trying to fall asleep.   I don't ever want to put a light on and wake up my husband.  I don't want to get up and move around the house because then the dog gets up and wakes the kids up.  Very honestly I do have to wonder- are these ideas always as good as I think they are?  Would they hold up in the light of day?  Some day I will write down all those ideas that come to me on the verge of sleep and I will let you know.

Happy blogging!

  1. Very nice work on your Thoughtful Thursday post! Loved it. :) I totally know what you mean here. When I'm trying to come up with new ideas for my next fiction story I'll do so many "inspiring" things and finally my mind will be crazy with millions of ideas and when I make it to my pen and paper, nothing's there! Lol.

I am a new follower! I look forward to more of your posts. I like how you shared just what came to your mind though...even if it wasn't anything majorly thoughtful. :) Still a nice read that a lot of us can relate to.

    :) Warm wishes,
    Kendra
