Yesterday I shared the simple tips that helped me get started on this journey and they are the ones that I still use today. But I have to be honest, there are days when I just cannot find anything to eat in the house except processed foods (I still purchase some things for my kids).
When I am hungry and searching for lunch or a quick snack, it can honestly be quite difficult to find something that not only sounds good but also something I can quickly grab and go. Usually lunch consists of left overs from dinner unless dinner was something that the kids absolutely loved and there are no leftovers. Then I try to keep some lettuce or tuna around to turn to but what if they aren't an option?
Because I only grocery shop twice a month, it can mean that my pantry can be very empty right before the next shopping spree.
Then things can get interesting around here. That is when you have to get creative if you want to stick to your goals of very little processed foods. Do you know what? That is okay! You do not always have to eat breakfast food for breakfast. If you find something that sounds good, fits your criteria, then eat it. Yesterday I wanted to get started working but had not eaten breakfast yet. The cereal we have in the house doesn't meet my criteria and I did not want to take the time to fix any thing. I founds some grape tomatoes in the frig, added some sharp cheddar cheese, a little bit of sea salt and lots of cracked black pepper. It tasted great, woke up my brain and took me less than a minute to put together. Now it definitely isn't a traditional breakfast but who cares? It kept me from making a poor choice.
Feel free to be creative, eat outside of the box especially if it will keep you from turning to processed foods.

Hi, Thanks for stopping by! I really like the look of your blog. Did you design it yourself?

This was a blogger design. I thought it fit my title and the feeling I wanted. Hopefully I can get the same thing with my new blog!
